The Promotional/Marketing Material element of your entry to the Coopers Golden Saddle Awards... What we're interested in hearing about is how you plan to get your music out there. There are many ways to do that - website, myspace etc; advertising in publications etc; hiring a publicist or doing it yourself (because a publicist can be expensive); releasing singles; releasing music videos...
LOTS of different things to do + many more that aren't listed here + maybe even some brand new ideas that are all your own.
If you've thought of a new and unique way to promote your music and get the word out, then we'd like to hear about it. Or if you've set yourself out a budget and you've booked advertisements with various publications, we'd like to hear about that too.
Remember: in any process where you're being judged, it's best to provide too much information, rather than not enough. Judges can always disregard anything that's not applicable, however they can't read minds, so they won't know what you're planning if you don't tell them.
Here's a couple of examples of what you can do: Make a list of the steps involved in your marketing plan, Photocopy or print out an ad/any ads from publications and list the ways you plan to spread the word about your music.
