Saturday Songwriter's Workshop
This year, we've got another first - a Songwriter's Workshop with Roger Corbett, held all day Saturday. 49 Arcadia Rd Galston. Opposite Gribbonmount Rd. Parking to be down driveway behind hall. Roger Corbett is a Golden Guitar winning, highly successful songwriter, with numerous successful chart songs to his credit. His songwriting credits include ‘The Fire Within’ the theme song for the opening of the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, ‘Bridge of Love’ the hit song for the 1994 International Year Of The Family and ‘Since Cheryl Went Feral’ the massive chart hit for Jim Haynes. Roger Corbett was a senior tutor and the Director of The CMAA College of Country Music for eight years. During that time he ran the songwriting course, teaching such stars as Sara Storer, Brooke McClymont and Brendon Walmsley. Roger conducts many workshops and seminars, including the Tamworth Camerata and ‘Songcamp’ around the country mainly in the craft of songwriting and studio production but encompassing performance, musicianship and music business. Workshop starts at 10am and goes til 3pm with 1hr break for lunch from 12noon - 1pm. Please bring your own food with you. There will also be the opportunity to play your own music the following day in Fagan Park.
